Good Morning MissK :-) Play Dead if a grizzly, usually they give up and leave after chewing on you for a while. Black bear, run like hell , they will eat until there isn't anything left
1200lb of bone and hard meat. I hope that boom stick throws a REALLY big fast slug. Else you are just gonna piss him/her off REAL BAD. But not shooting can lead to you becoming lunch. I'd just watch the bear-back off slow- and hope I didn't have to find out if my '06 load would stop griz.----Ray

That thing is why I now never go to the mountains without suitable firepower!
When hunting in Grizz country, I used to load my .30-06 2/220 gr. then 2/180 for the game. Scary animals.
