It was warm outside yesterday, so I left my windows open overnight. It's nice to wake up to the sound of birds singing. We always get lots of morning doves.

Just getting home from work. Beautiful sunny day outside, not too hot. Which was perfect since I worked outside today.

A little update about the voting. Wirecutter and Irish are unreachable.... dah! Top 5 would be nice, but I'm not expecting it. I'm a new blogger, some of these bloggers have been around for years. How ever I place I am flattered to be involved.

Spring Has Sprung.... In The Lab?

Flowers that are actually Microscopic Crystals.

They look for all the world like a collection of flowers bursting into life. Yet in fact, these are microscopic crystals grown in a Harvard laboratory. Measuring just microns across, they were created to assemble themselves a molecule at a time.

The team say the work, carried out on glass slides, is able to control the process of crystal growth so precisely it can create curved and delicate shapes, that don't resemble the cubic or jagged forms normally associated with crystals.

Finally Getting My Spring Rain :-)

Woke up to the sound of raindrops hitting the tin roof over the patio..... 

We were suppose to get some yesterday. Well we did, all of 5 minutes... Grrrr.  Mother Nature was being a fucking tease. At least she's making up for it this morning, Thank God.... All these new sprouts where about to die of thirst. Like I was hoping, it's all gonna green and healthy just in time for Mother's Day :-)

Really warm here today, 85 and breezy. It's looking pretty good for spring showers tomorrow. Good thing, because everything is still so dry, but aching to grow. I'm really hoping we do get the showers. It would make everything nice and beautiful by Mother's Day.

No spring showers yet, but it's gonna be a beautiful warm and sunny Saturday. There's a field up the road that looks just like this one, well not yet, but soon... a sea of wild flox as far as the eyes can see. They smell nice too... more subtle then lavender. I snatched a few batches of it a few year ago... imagine that ;-)

Wishing For Morning Showers

~ Good Morning Friends ~

Weather calls for a couple weeks of sunshine and warm, not too hot temperatures. Don't get me wrong this is Wonderful, and needed to get out of this fucking Canadian Winter funk... but it looks sad outside, everything is still yellow and bare. A little bit of rain would go a long way to making everything finally feel like spring. At least the birds are happy and singing.... ;-)

Warm Sunny Days Ahead... :)

Finally the sun is shinning, the days are getting warmer. 

It feels nice :-)

It's still yellow and bare here, but in a few short weeks it will look just like this picture. I love the smell in the air when everything around you is growing. Just wanna breath it all in and forget about the ball and chain of the cold and dreary winter months that are finally over for a while. Don't get me wrong, snow has it's moments.... but now it's the sun's turn to "shine".
