For some unknown reason, Blogger has tweaked it's settings and now EVERYONE making a comment, including myself is presumed a robot. I do monitor my comments to filter out the trolls and crappy annoying spam, but this "Capshit" setting is set to OFF, and I did not change it. I checked, it's still off. And for the fuck of it, as this is sometimes the fix in this "sensible" computer world we live in, I turned it on. Saved it. Went back to the settings, and turned if off again. Hey, sometimes it clears up the glitch. Not this time, and it seems alot of bloggers are dealing with it. It's no big deal really, but it is annoying as hell....
Kinda like this :/
So until this fucking annoyance is resolved, you'll have to work a little harder to leave me some words, just know your comments are anticipated ;-)
....a few days ago, I popped in itching to post something, hadn't in a while. Then noticed my hit counter and gasped. I must have past the Million mark the night before. Got my little screen cap, and forgot about it for a bit. Then I got to thinking...
I'm NOT a happy camper right now.... I activated my Google + profile thing so I could use apps on my phone. I put it off for the longest time because I did not want shit to get affected on my blog... and now I tweak something that seems minor, and almost all my pics disappear :-( What the Hell?!? I'm sure it has to do with "who sees what" or something of the sort.... I looked through all the settings and can't find it. I just don't need this shit right now. Has this happen to you? Any idea how to fix it? I'm gonna go look again, and I better find my answer. I just wanted to let y'all know what was going on....... Alleluia!! I fixed it!! Well that was scary :/
I was looking through my spam to see if I had missed anything lately. I came across an Anonymous comment that had been made a few weeks ago. Sometimes they go directly into my spam folder, so I check it once in a while, just in case. And since I found something, I figured I should make a little update post to let this person know, it was not intentionally left out. If this happened to others, my apologies. If I find more, I'll let y'All know ;-)
So, "Lurker from Boone", if you're still around.... your comment is posted <-- Click the link if you wanna see :-)
I often use my blog to express, without giving too much away, things that are happening in my life. It helps me deal and process, good stuff, bad stuff, anything really.
My World is kinda like a microcosm of my real life, and I like to use it as stepping stones sometimes...
With that said, I liked my sidebars, and was stubborn about keeping them, 'till Blogger poked a stick in 'em, and made my shit all uneven. Now I could "comply" and just fix it. But you know what, I say Fuck that shit!
I'd ratter reinvent a little, on my terms. Change is good... taking a step back and erasing some of the clutter can help you get back on track, or change direction all together... a little refocusing never hurt anyone. This is part of a way bigger picture for me then just My World, but I shall do this one step at a time ;-)
Odie brought up a point in my Blogger Glitch Post... About the double sidebars. And now I'm wondering if a lot of you are having to deal with this too. When I set them up, I went the maximum I could go, without having to scroll left to right on my own screen, thinking it was about the same thing for most of you. I would appreciate some input very much. If you can see the whole thing from left to right, or you have to scroll to see it? It bugs the crap out of me when something doesn't fit. So I would love to know how "this aspect" of My World looks to you guys. I'm sure it makes a difference how your monitor is set and probably the browser too... So spill... Tell me! ;-)
Pics in my sidebars seems to be overlapping. And I'm just wondering if you guys see the same thing I do. I've noticed it on other bogs too. For those who already work with blogger, it seems that when you want to modify the "picture" gadget to check the "shrink to fit' box, you have to specify a Title for it. You never "had to" before. Most of mine don't have a tittle title. So I just canceled the mod, but I don't like the overlapping, especially if the sidebar pics overlap over the posts. A Little insight from the blogger world would be appreciated. Maybe it's just a glitch and tomorrow it will be back to normal, but if it's a permanent blogger change, then I have some tweaking to do... The simplest thing would be to widen my sidebars, which I'll try first of course, but I don't like taking away from my posting space in the middle... oh well. I'll figure the right balance. I mostly wanna know if the overlapping is visible to you guys and if other bloggers have this issue also. And Thanks for putting up with me... ;-) Solutions....
