I have to add something. Some of you may have been around long enough to know this about me. November 11 is a personal day of mourning for me as it marks the Anniversary of my little brother's passing. It's been 18 years, and some moments are still as fresh as the day it happened. If you've lost a family member, you know all too well how it feels. I'm not gonna go in detail here as I just wanted to mention, but if you are interested, I did write a short story about him last year. Here is The Link.
Back to my Remembrance Day / Veterans Day Post...
I looked for pics that would possibly have special meaning for some of you. I love the ones that show humour and camaraderie. But most of the pics are awesome examples of Human Spirit, Courage and Resiliency. So many untold stories.....

My Dads family got here before there was a United States,(1699) My Moms family got here before there was a New France(1525 ?) As far as I know we have fought in every war-and war sucks. They came to the new world seeking freedom. So what did they do? they went right out and started that same shit over here-Humans never learn.---Ray
Great collection of photos Missk,thanks.
:-)
In the U.S. we remember the war dead on Memorial Day. To all who say war sucks I will say this: would you be willing to fight the Revolution again? I'll give you this: war is bad and nasty but it is part of the human condition. What really sucks is LOSING wars, which western culture has been enduring Korea. And stop all the crying, get angry and steel yourself.
Great collection MissK...
Awesome pictures...
And yes war is He!!... And so many good people perish in wars... But as Americans, Canadians, perhaps Brits and other mostly white nations have come to learn is that the alternative to war is slavery and subsistence... For our time Islam is a good example...
We honor those who fight our wars because through their he!! we know freedom...
Happy belated Veterans Day, MissK... :-)
