I'd bet there is a hillside close to that pole that just isn't in the photo. We've got a fair number of these beasties here in Western Montana. Fortunately, a lot more of them than we have of Achmeds ;-)
Well you have hear of bird on a wire... Well this is the extreme version in todays world...
