Ahh, a very nice, very old Canadian Maple tree... We have bunch of them in our back forty. One less that couple of hundred feet from the house... They are beautiful in the fall before they lose their leaves...
What I like about this picture is what they have done with the base of the tree... they used English Ivy to cover the root base... Maple tree has a huge root base. Root itself resurfacing back up yards away from the tree itself. I like how they used English Ivy to cover that part, and perhaps keep the kids off...
I'll try that on the one couple hundred yards form the house... been wondering what to do with the base...

That tree is 250 years plus.
