Being slave to the calculator is one thing, 

but to a GPS? Fuck that shit!!

At my old job, I would travel all over the province to locate people I had never met. Many lived way out into the country and off back roads. Some of these roads I had never traveled on prior. Uncharted territory was my game. The only houses I had a hard time finding were the ones who gave me wrong addresses. A lot of people would say: "you must have a GPS?" It was funny, their jaws would drop when I would tell them no, don't need one if you know how to read a map, and use common sense of course.... unlike giving the damn GPS the last word.... seriously??

I might have a different opinion traveling in a big city for the first time, but I would have a hard time trusting the thing, that's for sure. I'm thinking it would be a lot more fun to "confuse" it then to "obey" it... ;-)

I was informed by Sheriff Deputy Miller 

that one of my blog buddies was being held behind bars 

for 30 days after causing a little ruckus... tsk tsk! 

Well it seems like today is your day Dusty.. I know, I know,

should have been yesterday but my internet was acting up,

so I let you rot one extra night, my bad.... ;-)

So the deal was that I would make sure 

your horse was standing by when you got sprung.

Now, I know you have been dreaming about this day, 

but your horse seems to have run off :-(

So in light of keeping my word,

There's usually a few duck families around, but that day it was loons.

Is it just me, or sometimes when you turn on the news or look at a newspaper or magazine do you ever feel like you’re smack dab in the middle of an episode of the Twilight Zone? I mean I know we conservatives know what is going on, but unfortunately there is a large percentage of the country who are just not paying any attention at all, and to those people all I have to say is shame on you.

Shame on you for knowing who the contestants in the Big Brother House or on American Idol are, but not having any clue what Scandal-palooza is. Benghazi, the IRS targeting Conservative groups, the Justice Department probing the AP?… How is it that on the anniversary of the horrific attacks on our nation on 9/11 our U.S. Ambassador and three servicemen are barbarically murdered and no one in the media gives a flying flip?

Hello everyone. This would be my second ever post from my phone. No I did not lose power again. I'm out of town since yesterday morning. I'll be back later this afternoon....

My Fallen Trees....

Here are the pictures I took of the two trees that fell in the storm last Sunday. Turns out we had Tornado Warnings in the area. That doesn't happen a lot around here. We lost power till later that night, why I made a Post from My Phone, my first ever. So there's a bit more detail there and in Monday's Good Morning Post. 

Without further ado... Here are My Trees...

and a peak at what it looks like in my parts :-)

It was still very windy when I took this pic, notice the smaller trees swaying in the back. By the way, the hillside in the background is American soil. At the base of it is the river that separates us. Yes we are that close :-) It shows up better in some of the other pics. Notice how dirty the river is too, because of the flash floods we got that day... washing out whole driveways  and destroying freshly planted farmer's fields.

This is the first one to fall, the second is right behind it. The tops laid on either side of the ditch blocking off the driveway. You can see the power lines above, where the first tree hit. At the end of the post I have a couple pictures of the trees that I took a few years ago. It gives you a much better idea of the live power cables, that are higher then the ones you see here. And of course, what the trees looked like before last Sunday.
