Bill the Cat (my avatar and the best illustration of my condition :) ), Opus, and the little guy is Milquetoast the cockroach. My second favorite comic of all time, after Garfield : )
The cool thing about Bloom county was there were no sacred cows. It made fun of everybody, left or right, unlike that commie bird cage lining called Doonesbury.

Bill the cat and Opus the Penguin, From Bloom County comic strip. It was big in the 80's. I still have most of my Bloom County books.

Welcome to My World Angel ;-)
Yep, "normal" is way too close to "average".
The Hell with that.
I have to admit I have had that very cartoon on my fridge for years. It is truly ageless.
What a wonderful diversion you have here!
Glad you think so Keads ;-)
Way back in the days of video machines, I came across the Christmas cartoon featuring these three. " A Wish for Wings That Work"
Every Christmas, for at least the last 15 years, the family gathers to watch this brilliant feature.
Out on DVD now supposedly.

I really miss good quality comics. There have been some incredibly witty and prolific cartoonists over the years. I loved Bloom County.

Bill the cat, we barely knew thee.
I found this Bloom county tribute site online if anyone wants to check it out.
