Well "K" sorry to be such a sporadic reader. The ongoing epic of Sally the epileptic border collie has at last come to a head. Let me bring Y'all up to date. On Feb 27 she got hit by a car witch shattered her left rear leg bone , just below the hip. The first surgery to fix the bone failed so we needed to go in and install a pin two weeks later. She went septic a week later and has been in doggy ICU on antibiotics , pain meds, and tranks. IF WE ARE LUCKY we'll get her home Monday. (week 5) and joy! we've run out of money and the Vet says 5 weeks MINIMUM recovery after they take the pin out. God bless the Vet who says he'll work "pro-bono" but the cost is still gonna run another 2000$ minimum and we'll still have a "special needs" dog. At this point I must decide by Monday whether to put her up for adoption (really not a solution) Put her down or pony up money we don't have---Ray

Thank you "K" but I decided that with all her genetic "issues" from inbreeding (FUCK puppy mills) and a septic infection that was going to cause her to die in agony no matter what we did. That I had to man up and do the right thing to end her suffering. I had her put down at 11:30 AM. Now I get to tell the Munchkin her puppy is dead when she gets home. Some days being an adult isn't very much fun.---Ray
