Speaking Of...

Playing with fire & keeping warm....

This is My Fire Pit, à la Canadian Redneck.

Can anyone guess what I used to make it?
I may have said in a comment somewhere ;-)

Well you guys figured it out,
Daytime pic below...

GTrick, AHH!!! and Timbo got it right :-)

Took my old washer apart.
Works like a charm ;-)

It's totally self contained, portable, and ventilated.
Even my poker is Redneck, it's a bent rebar. The ribs on it
work awesome to grip the pieces of burning wood.

Yep, I'm a Redneck ;-)

And yes I'm building something right there,
a story for another time.

the outer part is an old tractor's metal front wheel...

Perhaps similar to this:

Not sure what the inner part is made of though...

In the spirit of friendly one-up-manship, I present to you: my hand.

I pulled the back wheel from a Kenworth semi tractor. Using that for my pit. Steel around and on the bottom with perfect breather holes. Lasting 15 years in the elements and still solid. Kinda looks like what you have there.
Love to be there with you. Looks inviting. Enjoy!

Nice pic Volfram :-)
I have a old pic somewhere of when I got flames to shoot out of a pumpkin as a teen... I'll post it if I ever find it, and I'll one up you on that one for sure... I dare you to try ;-)

Hey Dirtbag :-)
Nope, not a clay pot either.

Well hey Cedar, glad to see my guessing games still draw you out... might have to make some more often ;-) And that's a no on the storm culvert :(

Heads up to AHH!!!, holding your comment as well ;-)

Lots of folks use the inside of a washing machine. Since the pic is kinda dark, it's hard to tell.

Well Bravo to GTrick, AHH!!! and Timbo :-)

Thanks for playing along everyone.

I use the drum from an old dryer. i figured it would be more heat resistant!
