It's the "liberty from tyranny" part, a very significant part, that gets missed by your average dumb ass sheep in the herd. Even a few pro gun people I used to work with never really saw the big picture. The biggest picture.
They're usually too busy watching Dancin' With The 'Tards or talking about the "important issues" like gay marriage and climate change to bother with something as insignificant and unimportant as the Second Amendment.
Whether or not the liberty tree in the United States gets watered soon is anyone's guess, but when it eventually does, I want to see it watered more with the blood of tyrants and less of patriots.
2A enables us and empowers us as Americans to make that happen when necessary, and that's exactly why the communist left hates it so much. It's why they try to marginalize and demonize us pro gun folks whenever they possibly can.
They'll never come right out and try to disarm the populace unless they're on a suicide mission or have brass balls.

I think DHS may actually try it. They bought 1.4 BILLION rounds (by comparison the US Army and Marines used only 10 million rounds a year in Afganistan and Iraq combined) and 2500 APCs.
