That brings back memories. I remember climbing a tower for an hour and 15 minutes to change out the light in the strobe to find out the housing had rotted and the entire assembly needed to be replaced. I sat there for almost an hour and it took another hour to get to the bottom. It was a two hour drive to pick up a new strobe in LA so I got to climb again the next day.
When it was all over and I was on the flight back home (redeye) I required assistance getting off the plane as I was so sore I could barely walk. Climbing requires a different set of muscles and if you don't climb often a tall tower can hurt you after the fact. That climb is one of the reasons I stopped climbing 4 years ago. In the words of Sgt. Hulka, "I'm gettin too old for this shit."
