No , when I was a teenager I could go for 24 hours, Run 20 miles, do 500 sit ups. I had all my hair, all my teeth and could eat anything. Pretty girls with hard bellies didn't call me "sir" and ask if I had a senior discount card. If this is Recycling the factory fucked up.---Ray
Sorry; The Sweet Young Thing at the check out asked for my senior discount card. Then asked if Munchkin was my grandchild. Rather hard to maintain my self deception at that point. I was just throwing a pity party (Poor me!).---- I got over it.---Ray
It's ok Ray :-) One of the reasons I post them "To ponder..." things is to make people think, and hopefully share their opinions about things, like you did.
And I totally get where you're coming from, well from my POV at least. My Dad was 54 when he had me, and I'm the middle child. But it was normal to us. I don't have new born stories for me, but I was told... when my little bro was born, Dad stood outside the newborn room at the hospital gazing proudly at his new baby boy, all 24 inches of him, ouch! Good Seed :-)
But you have to picture this, a half balding 56 year old 5'5" man, so proud to be a Dad again, while the young studly men all had smaller babies and of course assumed he was a grandfather, noop ;-)
So I kinda do feel a kindred spirit with your Munchkin :-)
Whatever!

ReplyDeleteI was mostly referring to attitude and frame of mind....
