That could be anywhere in the Appalachan cove hardwood ecosystem. from north Carolina- Southern Tenn.to Southern Penn. The Mountain laurel is found mainly in the National parks now. It gets huge(5+meters tall) and can cover whole mountain sides, turning them pink in the summer. The Honey Locust is almost a weed down here, It has long(20+MM) thorns, but it has the most wonderful flower of any tree. When I dream of Heaven it smells like Honey locust.--Ray
