Canada with a population as big as NY and NJ and vast resources of gold, oil, timber, minerals, etc, it has become a formidable rich country... It is also prospering with its libertarian attitude toward business, industry and social issues...
Not to mention, Canada has come a long way in military and intelligence, thanks to their involvement in iraq and Afghanistan... Them mounties are not inept force to be messing with, if you are a terrorist, or any other... Well, other than the US. However they are not union heavy bureaucracy neither...
