I just won my company wide Chili cook off by browning my diced chuck and onions and jalapenos in Bacon grease, then simmered in beer for an hour before added the rest of the ingredients, Bacon grease is the bomb, up until you have a coronary what a way to go :)
Scrambled and cooked in peppered bacon grease with some picante sauce added close to the end.

I know a lot of people that use bacon grease but not so many that throw picante in while it's cooking.
