Real Home Made Canadian Poutine.

Red potatoes, they're sweet.

My daughter took a pic of her take-out poutine,
she agrees with y'all, mine looks messy ;-)
Her words: "looks like fishy vomit" Thanks dear :P

One I found online, I KNOW what it tastes like
so I think this one looks yumi..
I know, I know, you guys think it's gross :P

This one has graded mozzarella cheese instead of curds.

This is for you Angel,

  9. LOL you guys are bad, not even giving it a chance. Well honestly I was grossed out by it at first too, so I get your reactions...

etlsalina, interesting point of view ~snicker~ maybe Wirecutter can vouch for that.. IDK? ;-)

Angel, I would have to agree, why I make mine small.

Cedar, I'm wondering what you think is nasty about it... since you googled it and all....

Timbo, potatoes don't have fins dear ;-)

And last but certainly not least... Mike, what the fuck is a Poontang??? :D And how do you know if it's canadian or not, mister smarty pants :P

  12. Wikipedia "is a Quebec dish, made with french fries, topped with brown gravy and curd cheese."

I got visions of soggy french fries, sorta like the curry fries the served in Germany...nasty. LOL

  13. It's the cheese turds that always stop me dead.

  14. Cheese curds? ugh. if the dish had sausage gravy, onions and extra garlic, that would be rather acceptable, but I'll pass on that. lol

  16. It is actually very good, but you have to stop eating it when your left side goes numb... Comfort food right there, ranks up there with tator tot hot dish for feeling good in the winter.

  17. Ahh.. Wonderful Sara, someone finally gets it ;-)

Cedar, I don't like that description either, and I prefer chicken gravy.
Question: When you put gravy that you like on perfect mashed potatoes, does it make them soggy, or tastier?

Angel, that's just rude girl ;-)

Grog, that actually would be a great alternative, and I do put onions on mine, very tasty. As for the cheese curds, ehem not turds Angel, most of the time it's grated mozzarella cheese instead. Really it doesn't matter, there are so many variations of this thing, you put what you like on the type of fries you enjoy....

KurtP, yeah I know, it doesn't "look" good. And btw, my fries ARE COOKED :P

    I'll add some pics....
