Actions, Not Words....

  1. Ok so caliber is not relevant. Let's go hunting 200 pound wild hogs. No professionals will go after them with less than a .40 caliber pistol. And yet most drugged out thugs are about the size of that hog. that accuracy in and of itself is the answer is a false premise as no one shoots perfectly and can place every tho under stress. As clint smith says, you bring the biggest pistol you can. He should know.

  2. Of course caliber is relevant Bret, and what you said just makes sense :-)
This was only to imply how much practice and "knowing" what one is doing is important... vs idiot know-it-all who act and think they are experts and can't handle a tough situation properly when/if it comes along.

I am by no means a gun expert, never claimed to be. I stumbled into this group just months ago and was intrigued by a totally different mind set then I'm use to. And I'm pretty sure all the gun lovers and experts around here know that accuracy is not the only important factor. I didn't mean to imply that it was.

I do like when I post something that brings somebody else to comment ;-)

  3. Why do I carry a 45?

    Because they don't make a 46!

  4. I own a couple of each and they're both fun to shoot, but in a situation where I needed to draw a bead on another person, I'll take the .45 ACP any day of the week. No question about it

Which round would I rather be hit by? The 9mm euro-pussy round.

This right here says it in a nutshell.

Oh and I can hit the 10 ring with either one... ;-)

  6. CharlieDelta-----

I think what the little darlin'
MissK is trying to convey is a .45
ACP in the hands of a dildo who can't hit anything is worthless against a marksman with a .22 who can plant one in your eye at 10 yards. Guns are like sex--- a 12 inch wang is useless if you don't know how to use it. And for youe stupid comment about bring hit with
a weak-pussy 9mm--I would rather be hit by a 230 gr. .45 than a freight train so I've practiced to
hit what I shoot at no matter what I'm carrying-- .45--9mm--380-- .22 and yes my friend, size matters but not if you are inept with your tool!!!!!!!!!!

    Keep your powder dry
    and FUCK obama

  7. Now boys, no fighting... ;-)

Thank you Richard, but I didn't take offence to Charlie's comment. Unless I missed his point... he was just giving me some basic, off the side info to help me understand a specific aspect or guns in general.. since I did state that I have very little experience with guns, I just took it as being helpful.

And I do love your take on it Richard, thank you ;-)

  8. MissK;

No fight darlin' Just think about it-- being hit in the foot with a .45 ACP or hit in the eye with a .22---------Practice counts

  9. Whoa! Easy there Old Dick. Simmer down guy. No need to get all worked up in your cranky old age; you might soil yourself.

Just stating my opinion regarding the euro-pussy 9mm vs. .45 ACP. Yannow, it kinda related to MissK's post and all.

If that (somehow?) offended you, well that's your fuckin' problem, pal. Are you a euro-pussy? Is your carry piece a 9mm and you got all offended because you fit the mold? Help me out here Old Dick - what's got you all worked up tonight? You're obviously one of those clowns that talks more and practices less. Good luck with that.

Your 'guns like sex' comment was cute. Sounds like something a guy with a little dick would say.

You should spend a little more time working on reading comprehension, and a little less time playing with your dildos and trains. That way you might be able to read someone else's comment and actually understand it. Tool.

  10. I agree w/ Richard,Practice and accuracy are your base. If'n you can't afford 9mm or .45, bring what ya got, and practice, practice.. I prefer .45 cuz the round doesn't have to expand(depending on what config. you're using) to make a big hole in the plumbing. I've carried .45 usually in a compact form (7 to 9 rd cap.)and 9's up to 15 rd cap. I wouldn't want to be hit by either round.....That being said "CD" is correct about drug induced pain killing. Sometimes the person doesn't know he's dead yet..and you want big holes to make sure... Boarshide

  14. I have a couple of 9mm 2 .380's and a .357. A 45 ACP is on my wish list. My everyday carry is the 9MM. because its small and easily concealable, and very accurate. I will take comfort and accuracy every day.

  15. My S&W 915 is for practice, practice, practice.
But when I shoot a mag from my 1911-that's authority speaking right there.

    Howdy HWA, MissK, gang.
