~ My Roses Bloomed ~

I wish :P

Mine are below...
They look kinda sad. But hey,
you gotta start somewhere, eh ;-)

These are suppose to be pretty hardy. The one on the left is called Winnipeg Parks, zone 2b. The second one is zone3, I forget the name. I debated getting them because I've never had much luck with roses in the past, except for wild roses that spread fairly easily. I just couldn't resist starting my flower garden with them. The layout of the lot lends itself perfectly to so many different garden concepts. I've got high sunnier spots, and low, nestled private pockets. I can see you, but you can't see me kinda thing. One thing's for sure, I'm gonna enjoy planning this layout over time ;-)

I Love Puzzles...

The "picture" is becoming clearer ;-)
I've been doing research this past week.

Lots and lots of thinking, sketching and calculating.
I'm working to figure out how best to utilize my little woodlot,
in a timely manner, to shape the life I want.

What I know for sure:
My resources are limited at the moment.
I wanna use my skills to earn income, on my terms.
Practical, useful and realistic is way more appealing then bling.

Day by day, things are taking shape :-)

~ I will share more on the topic, as things progress ~

Little update in the comments ;-)

Totally in Love with This Senario

Side Note: I have a few Road Trip Highlights I would like to share.
A little glimpse to where I've been ;-)

The thing is, I took some pictures with my phone, and some with an old camera I had, but I gotta fiddle with it to get the pics off.  So I'm gonna work on that later, cuz right now, I'm in the mood to drive out to My Woodlot and explore. Almost all the snow is gone, and I'm very curious on how things look out there... Be back soon :-)

My Own Little Paradise

I recently got my hands on an awesome little woodlot.
I took this first pic a few weeks ago. The snow was still way too deep to venture in,
so I snapped a shot off the neighbor's land.

Last Friday I decided to strap on my snowshoes...
